How I can help your smile

I am passionate about patient-centered comprehensive dental care—knowing your experiences, overall health, and dental desires in order to best provide comfortable care to you.

With my undergraduate background in medical anthropology, I have worked to understand my patients’ experiences and I look forward to acting as your teammate and encourager.

I believe that in order to achieve our mutually desired results, our communication is key and I strive to make my patients feel comfortable along the way.

How I became a dentist

I have always been surrounded by dentistry; my dad is a periodontist, my mom was a dental assistant, and my sister is an advocate for the dental profession and its patients. I attended the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, where I majored in Medical Anthropology and minored in Archaeology and first realized my passion for the profession.

The opportunity arose for me to continue my studies with a Master of Science in Microbiology and Immunology at Georgetown University, first bringing me to this area I would fall in love with. I headed to my home state of Georgia to attend the Dental College of Georgia (formerly MCG) for my Doctorate of Dental Medicine.

There, I became a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon and Alpha Upsilon Phi, which recognize highest honors in leadership, scholarship, and service in the dental profession. I also served as the Speaker of the House for the American Student Dental Association, presiding over a governing body of 24,000 dental students.

I was honored for my leadership in organized dentistry by the American Dental Association, American Student Dental Association, and International College of Dentists.

Further Training

After dental school, I returned to the area to serve our nation’s veterans at the VA Medical Center in Washington, DC. There, I completed a General Practice Residency, placing special focus on developing complex treatment plans for patients with complicated medical and dental histories.

I’m proficient in esthetics, crown and bridge, removable prosthodontics, anterior and premolar endodontics, implant dentistry, and extractions.

Outside of Work

I absolutely love to travel, but also welcome any chance to stay close to home and try new foods! I love exploring new spots around town with my fiancé, friends, and family. I also enjoy watching sports and staying active myself with runs around the monuments, walks on Roosevelt Island, or an intense Barre3 class.
